One Chiropractor for Your Whole Family

Dr. Trace Palmer opened Palmer Chiropractic on August 2, 2010, and he's been caring for Richmond Hill families ever since. In a single week he might see a high school cheerleader, a parent with a stiff neck from the office, and a grandparent working through arthritis. His oldest patient was 101.

Being a family chiropractor in Richmond Hill, GA means adjusting care to the person in front of him. A growing spine, a working spine, and an aging spine each need a different touch, something more than 30 years in practice have taught him.

Chiropractic also runs in his family. He's a third-generation chiropractor and a 1995 graduate of Life Chiropractic College, and this office is the sixth opened by a member of the Palmer family since 1952. You can read more of that story on the Meet the Doctor page.

Chiropractic Care at Every Stage of Life

Kids and teens

Growing bodies carry heavy backpacks, spend long hours on phones, and take their share of bumps in sports. Dr. Palmer uses light, age-appropriate techniques and explains each step so kids feel at ease. Young athletes, especially cheerleaders, can learn more on the sports chiropractic page.

Adults

Desk work, the drive into Savannah, and lifting kids in and out of car seats add up. Neck tension, low back stiffness, and forward-head "tech neck" posture are some of the most common reasons adults come in.

Seniors

Many of his older patients live with osteoarthritis, degenerative disc changes, or nerve pain that travels into the arm, hand, leg, or foot. Gentle, consistent care can help you stay active and comfortable. If that sounds familiar, see the page on sciatica, disc pain, and back pain relief.

Babies and infants are welcome too. Care at that age uses very light pressure, and Dr. Palmer will walk you through everything first.

How Dr. Palmer Chooses the Right Adjustment for Each Family Member

Dr. Palmer's approach is simple: find the source of the problem, like a spinal misalignment or nerve interference, rather than just covering up the symptom. Which technique he uses depends on your age, size, comfort level, and what's going on:

  • Diversified: a hands-on manual adjustment, and the one he uses most often
  • Thompson drop table: a section of the table drops slightly to assist the adjustment, so less force is needed
  • Activator: a small handheld instrument that gives a light, precise adjustment, often a good fit for kids and older adults

Before opening this office, Dr. Palmer spent eight years on the main campus at Life University training future chiropractors, two years with the university's international program providing care in Costa Rica and Honduras, and three years as an associate with his father, Dr. Thomas Palmer.

A Plan for Each Family Member

Everyone gets their own care plan. You can book the whole family online through Jane, and Dr. Palmer adjusts visit frequency as things improve.

What Families Notice With Regular Care

The goal looks different for everyone in your house. A teenager may want to get through a school day and practice without a sore back. A parent may want to check a blind spot without wincing. A grandparent may want less tingling down the leg and more time on the walking trail.

Results vary from person to person, and Dr. Palmer will give you an honest picture of what to expect after your exam. Many families find that regular visits help them catch small aches before they turn into bigger problems. When something falls outside chiropractic care, he'll tell you and help you find the right provider.

Questions Families Ask About Chiropractic Care

Every age, from newborns to seniors. Dr. Palmer's oldest patient was 101. The technique and the amount of pressure he uses change with each stage of life.

When care is matched to the person, chiropractic is a gentle, conservative option for both. For kids and older adults Dr. Palmer often uses low-force methods like Activator or the Thompson drop table, and always explains what he's doing first.
